My attempt to visit the Hindu temple during my 2008 visit was stopped short due to the volume of visitors at that time. Better planning during my 2009 visit allowed for an early morning stop. No photography is allowed on the grounds of the Delhi temple, so the pictures shown are from the Akshardham website. By pure luck I became acquainted with Amarya Villa, a boutique hotel in Delhi, after befriending a foreign couple on a flight into  Indira Gandhi International . Sight unseen they reserved a room in this property which only opened it’s doors in October 2010.
